Job Summary Langan has an opening for an entry level Environmental Engineer in our Doylestown, PA office.
As the successful candidate, you will have an enthusiastic, can-do attitude with strong interest in performing:
environmental site investigation and remediation work; soil and groundwater sampling; vapor intrusion investigations; remedial investigations; remedial design, implementation, and monitoring; pilot tests; data management, processing, and evaluation; and report and work plan preparation.
In addition, possession of a strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn is essential.

Job Responsibilities Perform field inspections and environmental investigations; Perform air, soil, gas, groundwater, sediment sampling and remediation of contaminated properties; Assist with the planning and execution of field investigations by logging borings, collecting samples, performing field tests, and collecting and recording data; Perform routine and special calculations; Field oversight of remediation activities and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with job specifications; Identify and implement solutions to both routine and complex field and/or laboratory problems and accurately document results; Assist with the preparation of technical reports, specifications, and plans; data management and evaluation; and environmental assessment and remediation; and Perform other duties as requested.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field, Master's preferred; EIT certification preferred, or current registration for the FE exam; Ideal candidate will possess entry level to one year of related environmental experience; entry level candidates should preferable have related co-op, internship, or thesis experience; Knowledge of groundwater flow, soil characteristics, and remedial technologies; A strong technical education, professional demeanor, and desire to learn; Current OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification preferred; A valid driver's license in good standing and reliable transportation required to access remote job site locations; Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work independently and in a team environment; Excellent written and verbal communication and organization skills; Working knowledge of computer software, AutoCAD design software, and GIS a plus; Ability to work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends; and Availability to work overtime as needed.
