Health and Welfare Benefits Consultant

Responsibilities:
Designing, implementing and managing all aspects of employee benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, life insurance, disability and voluntary/worksite benefits
Analyzing renewal calculations and negotiating with carriers
Exploring strategic alternatives and providing strategic guidance
Quantifying the financial implications and associated risk of options presented for consideration
Preparing and presenting mid-year, renewal and ad hoc reports
Leading clients through benefit analyses and other strategic planning processes:
Financial, claims and utilization analysis
Funding evaluations
Contribution modelling
Analyzing medical/Rx proposals across the continuum of funding arrangements
Analyzing PBM proposals
Providing guidance as related to a broad spectrum of regulatory compliance issues
Developing and maintaining client relationships at varying levels within an organization


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
